Goal:

Greater presence and influence in Washington, D.C. and Ohio for statewide organization, stronger relationships with Members of Congress and access to collaborative funding opportunities

Results:

• Client was unfamiliar with Members of Congress and how to provide constructive input to policy decisions — G2G formed relationships with every U.S. Senator and Representative from Ohio for the client, culminating in meetings and private briefings and Capitol Hill Day with the entire Ohio Congressional delegation followed by meetings at the Federal Agencies
• Client had not obtained Congressional funding before — G2G secured a total of $20 million in various collaborative public-private research initiatives through multi-year efforts
• Client had not developed strategy for communicating with Congress and explaining their top issues of concern — G2G provided coaching on timing, message development and ways to engage Members of Congress in their initiatives in Ohio as well as organized targeted introductions to key decision-makers and a constant presence in Washington, D.C.
