Andrew is based in D.C. and is originally from Hartsville, SC. He previously worked on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) as a Legislative Correspondent, writing and researching policy issues including education, defense, homeland security, and health care. Prior to joining Sen. Scott’s staff, he interned for Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI) on U.S. House Ways and Means Committee and with Ranking Member U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME) on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Following his years in Congress, Andrew worked as a management consultant in Deloitte’s federal practice. His main responsibilities focused on supporting case workers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky on systems integration for their health benefits exchange program, coordinating project plans for allocating grants services within the U.S. Department of Agriculture and leading communications outreach for the New Products and Innovation Group of the U.S Postal Service. Most recently, Andrew has provided consulting on business development, marketing, and communications for his family’s small business in Columbia, SC, helping to improve sales and customer outreach. Andrew’s background in politics, government consulting, and business gives him a unique perspective on the important issues facing both public and private sectors.
