Entrepreneurs Meet with NIH Director Collins in Cleveland


G2G pulled together a unique group of about a dozen entrepreneurs in the biosciences field to facilitate an open dialogue between companies and NIH on how to accelerate translational research and commercialize more medical products faster to advance medicine. Lively discussion full of ideas and suggestions for NIH and insight into where Dr. Collins plans to take NIH in the future.

Ohio Aerospace Capitol Hill Day


Six Members of Congress met with 20 aerospace industry leaders in the Capitol building to tackle the issue of job creation and business growth for this sector in Ohio -- the aerospace state. Delved into issues ranging from budget to NASA's future to WPAFB R&D initiatives to workforce development. After the Capitol Hill summit, we headed to the Pentagon and met with Small Business Office to target funding opportunities for businesses. More to come!

The White House & Green Jobs


G2G brought Hard Hatted Women and Center for Energy Workforce Development to the White House to collaborate with the Department of Labor and the White House Council on Women and Girls on training and employing women in skilled labor positions in the new green economy. Looks promising but we'll need every state to engage in this effort to create not just jobs, but long-term careers.
