SUMMARY:Capital Budget 101: Exploring Support for Child-Focused Projects
DESCRIPTION:Are you a 501c3? Do you own property or land in need of improvements to serve the children in your care? Examples could be upgrading your kitchen\, building a playground\, expanding community services through your space. If so\, you may be eligible to apply for capital funds through the State of Ohio. \nOhio’s Capital Budget occurs every two years and allocates funds to be used to for infrastructure improvements for local communities\, state agencies\, and universities. These projects directly benefit our communities and workforce. Organizations may submit requests for funding to their elected state officials. \nChildren’s Hunger Alliance is teaming up with our friends at G2G Consulting to provide an informational session on the budget process. You do not need to pay anyone to help you pursue capital budget funds\, but you do need to learn about the process\, advocate with your local legislators\, and have a good plan and additional private support to make your project possible. This webinar will provide you with the steps needed to navigate the process. CHA is happy to support you in the process if you move a project forward.

SUMMARY:Navigating MHSRS 2025\, DoD & Funding Opportunities
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for opportunities to showcase your medical innovations and capabilities to the military\, and gain understanding of government funding priorities – but not sure where to start? Join us to learn about: \n\nUtilizing the 2025 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) conference to build relationships with DoD researchers\, program managers and leaders.\nInsights from a company that has successfully obtained DoD funding\nOther tips for life science and biotech companies wanting to access non-dilutive government funding.\n\nIf you are unsure of how to work with DoD\, MHSRS is an excellent starting point. As the year’s premier military medical research meeting\, it draws upwards of 4\,000 attendees and offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with DoD leaders\, decision-makers\, program managers\, and researchers. DoD wants to hear from companies with research\, innovations and technologies that address critical gaps in military medical care in the areas of: Combat Casualty Care\, Military Operational Medicine\, Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine\, Information Sciences\, Military Infectious Diseases\, and Radiation Health Effects\, among others. The conference features breakout sessions focusing on the priorities of various DoD entities including the Defense Health Agency\, Futures Command\, USAMRDC\, WRAIR\, USAISR\, and many more. \nMHSRS will be held from August 4-7 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee\, FL. While the window for abstract submission has passed\, there is significant benefit in attending even if you are not presenting on your work. This webinar will provide helpful guidance and preparation for navigating the Military Health System\, even if you cannot attend MHSRS. \nG2G has attended MHSRS every year it’s been held for over a decade and has guided and represented dozens of companies and nonprofit entities at this forum. This has helped these groups find champions at DoD\, which in turn has helped facilitate fruitful collaborations\, and funding opportunities. This webinar will provide helpful guidance and preparation for navigating the Military Health System\, even if you are not attending MHSRS. \nSpeakers:  \n\nPat Gallagher\, CEO\, Voltron Therapeutics\nLiz Powell\, Founder & CEO\, G2G Consulting\nAditya Girish\, Government Affairs Manager & Biosciences Director\, G2G Consulting
