With the first-ever White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research kickstarting conversations\, collaborations and change followed by the first-ever $100 million investment in women’s health innovation by ARPA-H and the over 20 directives resulting from President Biden’s Executive Order\, government has made women’s health a priority. \nThe time for change has never been clearer with many persistent gaps spanning from maternal health where Black women are 3X more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women and the U.S. ranks among the worst internationally with growing OB-GYN deserts across the country to autoimmune conditions where women make up 80% of patients and Alzheimer’s where women are 66% of patients yet little is known as to why these sex differences exist. Among cancers\, 50% of those diagnosed with ovarian cancer die yet no early diagnostic tool or effective treatment is available. Non-smoking related lung cancers have risen 84% in women while dropping 36% among men over the past 42 years\, yet no data exists to explain why. Menopause impacts 100% of women reaching those mid-life years yet stigma and lack of research funding have forced most women to suffer with painful symptoms in silence. Menopause triggers sudden increased prevalence of many conditions (from heart disease to cardiometabolic syndrome to autoimmune conditions) that impact the affected woman’s work\, family\, and community. \nWomen live five years longer than men on average but often do not thrive throughout their lives. This can change by prioritizing the health of women in research funding\, investment strategies\, clinical trial design\, how care is provided with meaningful access\, FDA approval and CMS reimbursement policies\, and much more.  \nJoin this special Women’s Health Forum to learn about the changing landscape in women’s health\, investment in research and innovation\, clinical trial design and recruitment to ensure participation that is representative of disease impact in the broader population\, and patient-centric care models that are shifting the paradigm in how we treat women.

SUMMARY:G2G’s MHSRS Webinar: Hear from Experts on DoD Funding for Life Science & Biotech Companies!
DESCRIPTION:MHSRS is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) premier annual military medical research meeting\, drawing ~4\,000 attendees. It provides an environment for military leaders and providers with deployment experience\, DoD program managers\, scientists\, academia\, and industry to meet and collaborate on the unique medical needs of the Warfighter. The DoD wants to hear from companies with research\, innovations and technologies that address critical gaps in military medical care in the areas of Combat Casualty Care\, Military Operational Medicine\, Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine\, Information Sciences\, Military Infectious Diseases\, and the Radiation Health Effects and uses the abstract submission process to learn about private sector innovations in these areas. \nFor industry\, the conference provides a phenomenal opportunity for networking; developing relationships with program managers\, clinicians\, researchers\, academia\, and industry; gaining insights on priorities of the DoD; understanding where your capabilities align with DoD’s priorities; and meeting with leadership from Defense Health Agency\, Futures Command\, USAMRDC\, WRAIR\, USAISR\, and the VA. An excellent way to build these relationships is to present at MHSRS\, which is determined by abstract submissions. \nJoin us to learn about: \n\nHow to successfully submit abstracts to elevate your company’s visibility and profile at the 2025 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) conference\nHow to secure poster presentation at the conference\nHow to access non-dilutive funding from DoD for all  life science and biotech companies\n\nSpeakers: \nLiz Powell\, ESQ.\, MPH\, Founder & President\, G2G Consulting \nAditya Girish\, PhD\, Government Affairs Manager & Biosciences Director\, G2G Consulting

SUMMARY:Women's Health Advocates Kickoff Call
DESCRIPTION:This is the first call of this new advocacy initiative in Washington\, DC that harnesses the energy\, talent and determination of women and men across the country who want to advance the health of women in the legislative process. On this call\, we will share more information on the Women’s Health Advocates and our plans for 2025. \nWomen’s Health Advocates: \nWe leverage expert lobbying skills\, deep health expertise\, and critical support from a broad range of women leaders to secure federal understanding\, support and investment to improve women’s health over their lifespan. Incredibly\, only 8-11% of National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants currently fund women’s health\, and just 2% of VC investment and Big Pharma R&D is focused on women’s health innovation. Yet women’s health is a $1 trillion market opportunity\, according to the McKinsey Health Institute. \nWe focus our expertise and advocacy efforts on educating and influencing policymakers and regulators on health issues for all women\, including but not limited to: \nAging Health | Autoimmune Health | Brain Health | Cancers | Clinical Trial Representation & Drug Safety | Gynecological and Ovarian Health | Heart Health | Maternal and Postpartum Health Mental Health | Stress Management | Wellness \nWe hope you will consider becoming a member of the Women’s Health Advocates Steering Committee to play a pivotal role in this effort.
