John Richter, MPA

Federal Legislative Director

John is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania and brings over a dozen years of experience working on the Biden-Harris presidential campaign as Deputy Political Director for Pennsylvania, on Capitol Hill for members of Congress in the House and Senate as well as off the Hill as head lobbyist and grassroots organizer for the American Nurses Association and WorldatWork. He has served as political campaign staff on presidential and congressional campaigns, including Hillary Clinton campaign in Pennsylvanian in 2016. He leads the Capitol Hill work for the firm. John's knowledge of federal and state lobbying and grassroots organizing is based on working with decision-makers in D.C. and on political campaigns in northeastern and central Pennsylvania. He has crafted and led national and state strategies to educate government on a range of issues, influence policies and worked directly with agencies and the Department of Defense to shape funding and programming. Previously, he served as a Legislative Assistant for former Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, now Governor of New Mexico, managing her Defense, homeland security, veterans, transportation and education issues. He was also a Legislative Aide for Senator Bob Casey and helped staff the Senator on the Senate HELP and Finance Committees, addressing health, veterans, technology, and science issues. He brings significant experience both on and off the Hill to the G2G team and leads the team on federal legislative strategy. John also serves as an instructor on government systems for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
