On Friday, Feb. 26 from 10-11am EST, Hyperloop provides a Congressional Briefing to discuss hyperloop technology, explain the latest with hyperloop around the country, share plans for 2021 and beyond, and gather feedback regarding transportation needs.
Hyperloop uses existing technology such as tubes, pylons, vacuum pumps, and next-generation maglev to connect people, reduce congestion, improve commerce and protect our planet by eliminating C02 emissions from ground-based transport. Capsules hover inside tubes using passive magnetic levitation and linear motors for propulsion. By creating a low-pressure environment inside the tube, hyperloop can move people and freight at speeds over 700 mph, reducing travel time between cities from hours to minutes. Using solar panels and renewable energy sources, hyperloop systems can produce more energy than they consume, which can then be added back to the grid. Hyperloop is also safer by design because of its enclosed environment and automated control systems. It is clean, quiet, quick transportation for the 21st century.
