Amaya is originally from Georgetown, Guyana. She is currently a pre-law undergraduate student at Howard University. Amaya is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor concentration in English, aspiring to be a Defense Attorney and Writer.
Previously, she served as a NewDEAL Fellow, supporting state and local elected leaders across the nation. She has also worked with Audible as a Global Corporate Affairs Intern, aiding company outreach and developments.
