Chris has nearly 15 years of experience, spending over ten years on Capitol Hill as staff for two members of the Appropriations Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Before joining G2G, he oversaw all jurisdictional funding measures as Chief Appropriations Counsel for Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14), who currently serves as the Chairman of the House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee. He also led the appropriations legislative work when Rep. Joyce served as Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies.
Previously, Chris served in a range of senior legislative positions for Congressman Steve LaTourette, as well as Chief of Staff for Congressman Joyce. In recognition of his work in this space, E&E News named Chris one of nine staffers crafting House energy and environmental policy to watch in 2020. Among other legislative accomplishments, he was instrumental in the passage of the bipartisan Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Act at the end of the 116th Congress and led the fight to secure more than $300 million annually for the GLRI program through the appropriations process. The combination of his deep understanding of the complexities of the legislative process and many contacts on Capitol Hill on both sides of the aisle make Chris a tremendous resource for G2G and our clients.
