Obtaining Funding by Developing Champions from within DoD
Goal:
Pursue funding and relationships within the DoD to conduct research on hemorrhage control.
Results:
Built on existing relationships to garner new ones
Daily research of funding opportunities and regular, pro-active communications with Program Managers on upcoming opportunities and ways to influence them
Found a few grants and BAA, submitted white paper abstracts to Program Managers to get feedback before applying
Met Program Manager at a military medical conference who invited application for BAA
Organized several meetings with military medical command
Made submission for funding with feedback applied
