Dial in to hear from experts on how to navigate securing coverage for medical innovations for life sciences that can improve patient outcomes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid through active engagement with CMS and Congress.

Speakers:

  • Neleen Rubin, MPA — President of Rubin Health Policy Consulting and former Senate Finance Committee majority staff, who wrote sections of the Affordable Care Act related to the Medicare Part A program. She previously served as Policy Coordinator in the Secretary’s office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Neleen also served as the Vice President of government affairs at Edwards Lifesciences, establishing and leading their Washington office.
  • Aditya Girish, PhD — Government Affairs Manager for G2G Consulting and former Medical Associate for Scienomics Group, where he focused on developing medical education content for bioscience clients. His graduate research concentrated on nanomedicine platforms for the mitigation of traumatic bleeding resulting in publications in leading scientific journals and the development of novel polymeric materials for regulation of hemostasis and drug delivery. He has guided health innovators through the CMS coverage process.

Moderator:

  • Liz Powell, Esq., MPH — Founder and President of G2G Consulting and former Legislative Director for Members of Congress where launched the Disabilities Caucus and staffed Members active on the Women’s Caucus and Congressional Black Caucus. She also served as Policy Analyst for the UK House of Commons, Public Affairs Manager for the National Association on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, and President of the Women’s Health Information Network. Since starting in 2007, G2G has raised over $528 million in government funding, worked with hundreds of life sciences companies, and shaped legislative and regulatory policies.
